Our Brewery Tasting Room is family friendly. We have highchairs and a couple kid-friendly beverages like apple juice and orange soda. We have a little more space at the brewery and a shaded outside area with picnic tables.
The Side Project Cellar is a smaller, cozier place than our Brewery. People under 21 years old are allowed until 8pm and are permitted to sit on the patio or at the café tables (not directly at the bar).
We have board games at both locations!
We don’t serve any food, but you are allowed to bring your own food outside on our patio at the Brewery Tasting Room or outside on our patio at The Side Project Cellar.
We currently don’t allow any food inside our locations. We have a lot of great restaurants in Maplewood if you’d like to visit us for a beverage before or after your meal!
The Side Project Cellar offers Side Project and Shared beer, but it also boasts a wide variety of beer from breweries around the world (on draft, by the bottle and beer on cask), whiskey, wine and cider.
Our Brewery Tasting Room offers Side Project and Shared beer. We also carry a couple wines by the glass.

When Cory and Karen King sold their first Side Project beer in 2013, the goal was to be a small oak-aged brewery focusing on Saisons, Wild Ales and Spirit Barrel-Aged Ales. A few years later, we hired our first brewers and discovered those talented brewers came with their own ambitions to experiment, brew and blend more beer styles. They wanted to create their own recipes and brew beers that necessarily didn’t need to spend time in a barrel. Side Project was already established as our 100% oak-aged brewery, so we decided to create another label to encompass all the new beers our brewers wanted to create. Shared Brewing was born.
You will notice a lot of Saisons, Wild Ales, Fruited Ales, Barrel-Aged Stouts and Barrel-Aged Barleywines from Side Project. All SP beers are 100% aged in oak.
You will notice a wide variety of beer from Shared Brewing, but we are currently having a lot of fun with canning our lagers and hoppy beers!
