The Evolution of Side Project

What an honor it is for our little brewery to turn 10 years old! We are grateful every day for our employees who give our customers exceptional experiences and for you all – our customers who appreciate those efforts. Thank you for supporting Side Project for the past 10 years!

This small milestone for Side Project Brewing has caused us to spend time reflecting on the last 10 years and planning for the next 10, 20 and 30 years. As we continue to focus on the highest quality of beer and service, we are also taking the time to notice how our local and global beer communities are growing and changing. We owe it to our customers and our employees to analyze our business and make smart decisions for our future so we can continue to create great beer for many more years to come. With this in mind as we turn 10, we have decided to simplify our message for our customers. We are moving toward operating Side Project and Shared under one name – Side Project Brewing. The wonderful IPAs, Lagers and more of Shared Brewing will still exist and be of the same excellent quality, but all our beers will be under the Side Project name for clarity.

Our Brewers Tommy, Drew, Mikey, Rich and Cory have been brewing, blending and packaging both Side Project and Shared beers for several years. We use the same brewing equipment and pull from the same barrel stock for both beer SP and Shared. We feel confident in ALL the beer our talented brewers create, whether it is a Saison, Stout or IPA. We no longer feel it’s necessary to separate the 100% Barrel-aged beers from the beers that may or may not spend time in oak.

The overall look and feel of our cans (and our patio spot!) will remain the same – whimsical, fun and delicious, they will just be labeled as Side Project. A change like this doesn’t happen overnight, but we wanted to let you all know that we are moving toward all our incredible beer being named Side Project.

Thank you for enjoying all our beers no matter what we’ve labeled it as! We’ve enjoyed sharing our beer with you for 10 years, and we hope you continue to share our beer with your friends and family as well.
