Stout Week is right around the corner and we are excited to share our 2025 dates with you!
Join us at The Side Project Cellar Tuesday, Feb. 11th – Sunday, Feb. 16th, for our annual Stout Week! Each night we will be celebrating a different theme of stouts and malty offerings. We will be posting details very soon so mark your calendars for this special event week!

Tuesday, February 11th: Vanilla Day
3pm: Debut! Double Barrel Derivation Double Rye, Double Vanilla 2025. Double Rye Double Vanilla Derivation is a blend of 2 OWK brews, one from October of 2022 which rested in StilL630 Rye barrels and an OWK brew from June of 2023 which rest in Willett 6yr and 9yr Family Estate Rye Barrels before the blend was finished in Willett 4yr Rye Barrels and then being infused with a double amount of hand processed Vanilla Beans. On-site & To-Go bottles (375ml)!

Double Artifact Barrel Derivation rested exclusively in Artifact Bourbon Barrels starting in March of 2023 before being racked to fresh Artifact Bourbon Barrels to impart another round of more intense barrel, whiskey, bourbon, vanilla, coconut notes, showcasing how Artifact Bourbon Barrels can elevate our Vibes recipes uses for this Double Barrel Derivation. 3pm: Debut! Double Barrel Generational - Collab with Half Acre 2025. Double Bourbon Barrel Generational : a beer when released for the first time, was a single oak barrel. Generational is our collaboration recipe with our friends at Half Acre, a recipe which has found its way into our rotation to be used in Beer : Barrel : Time and Derivation blending. For Double Bourbon Barrel Generational, we brewed the Generational recipe and racked it into Blanton's Barrels in October of 2021 before being finished in fresh Blanton's Barrels to complete the Double Barrel Aging process and being ready to share with you. As we have been double barrel aging our stouts for almost 10 years now, we are always looking at interesting ways to continue to learn, push and explore. For Saturday & Sunday of our 2025 Stout Week at The Side Project Cellar we will be debuting a new Double Barrel Finished series, which focuses exclusively on the unique and diverse characteristics in which different species of wood can impart.
Double Barrel Finished Series - Finished on Mizunara, French Oak, Aspen and Maple 2025
We will have 4 beers from our new Double Barrel Finished series, all were our Horchata recipe racked into Willett Family Estate 9 yr Bourbon Barrels in 2023. At maturity, each barrel was transferred to fresh Willett 4 yr Bourbon Barrels for their double barrel aging. These second barrels then saw the addition of the individual woods : Mizunara, French Oak, Aspen, and Maple. We bottled each "Finish" separately, so we can explore and discuss how the new flavors created by the woods impacted the double barrel aged stouts we have continuously worked on over the last decade.
