Fermier Day 2022!

We are excited to announce that FERMIER DAY is back this summer! Please join us at Side Project Brewing on Saturday, Aug. 27th. We Open at 1pm!

Saison du Fermier is our Missouri Saison aged in Chardonnay Barrels with our Missouri microflora. On that very first Side Project release day in September 2013, Cory and I sold our first blend of Saison du Fermier! Some of you may still have that lovely little white-waxed bottle in your beer cellars. 

We will kick off the day with a Garage Release featuring THREE new Side Project beers - all on theme with "Fermier Day!" We'll start the To-Go Garage Release right at 1pm.

Tête de Cuvée is a blend of some of our finest and oldest wine barrel-fermented and -aged Saisons. Vintage 2020 contains select barrels of Oude Fermier, Oude du Blé and an experimental barrel-fermented Saison, each of which was barrel-fermented in French Oak and aged between 12 and 19 months before blending.

Oude Fermier is the best of our best. We earmark specific rich barrels of Saison du Fermier for extended aging to produce an exceptionally limited Saison with deep layers of complexity and soft, rounded oak nuances to either be released as is or blended into Tête de Cuvée. Oude Fermier Vintage 2020 was a limited blend from St. Aubin White Burgundy Barrels and Missouri White Oak, and it is vintage dated for the youngest thread of this blend. 

Coeur de Cuvée is a series of blends of some of our finest wine barrel-fermented and -aged Saisons. This tenth release contains select barrels of Oude Fermier which were fermented in French Oak Chardonnay Barrels and then selected for exhibiting a bright, citrus acidity before blending and conditioning for an extended period of time.

Also for Fermier Day this year, our Brewery Tasting Room will have the following Vintage "Fermiers" on Draft or by the Bottle for on-site enjoyment!
